Unfortunately, WhatsApp didn’t release new features this week (except for WhatsApp Desktop beta) but in the meantime, WhatsApp has introduced some information about the changes available in the next weeks. Let’s start with Android:
- In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.4.9 update, we have discovered that WhatsApp is working on an introduction for Community, available in a future update.
- WhatsApp is planning to disable the media visibility when disappearing messages are enabled, in a future update.
- We have discovered that WhatsApp is planning to introduce a change for the feature to delete messages for everyone, bringing a new time limit: 2 days and 12 hours. This is probably the best news of the week, along with the one that allows deleting any group message, in a future update:
- WhatsApp is working on bringing the ability to request your account info right within the web/desktop client, at a later date. In addition, WhatsApp has released the global audio player when you switch to a different conversation on WhatsApp Desktop beta.
- About WhatsApp beta for iOS, WhatsApp is working on redesigning the caption view when you send media in a conversation, in a future update. Some other minor changes on iOS should be announced next week.
