There is not much information about features under development, but WhatsApp has rolled out different new features and changes during this week:
- A lot of people complained about the update that brings a redesigned contacts list, with your frequently contacted and recent chats, so WhatsApp has restored the changes in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.5.9 update.
- In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.5.11 update, WhatsApp has introduced a new preview when you share images and videos as documents. Unfortunately, the preview for text documents such as PDFs is not available anymore.
- WhatsApp has released the ability to send emojis by using shortcuts on the new WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2206.1.0 (UWP version). This is probably the best news of the week since a lot of people appreciated the feature:
- WhatsApp has introduced different changes when you forward voice notes in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.5.13 update. Changes are about the icon, playback speed button, voice waveforms.
- WhatsApp has released a new interface when placing voice calls in the new version of WhatsApp beta for iOS. The same interface has been implemented on WhatsApp beta for Android as well.
- Lastly, WhatsApp is developing new end-to-end encryption indicators on WhatsApp Desktop beta, for a future update. The same feature is under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS as well.
