WhatsApp for iOS 2.17.80 changelog is available

Version: 2.17.80

Today WhatsApp has released a new update on the AppStore, bringing the version number up to 2.17.80.
Unfortunately, this update has not new visible features, seen that it is to improve performances and to fix some bugs (in fact the official changelog reports ‘Delete for Everyone’ again). In this sense the update is very small, but allows us to list what is visibly new and all internal changes in this small changelog:

• In the 2.17.70 update, we mentioned “New UI for voice and video calls, to allow to return to the chat quickly without using the Message button, seen that it will be removed in next releases” and we showed this screenshot.

In the 2.17.80, WhatsApp has improved a bit the UI for voice and video calls buttons to reflect the iOS 11 design, as shown below:

Note that the ‘Message’ button hasn’t been officially removed yet.

• Small improvements to restore your chat history from iCloud when you reinstall WhatsApp.
• Small UI improvements for viewing the preview of your wallpaper in WhatsApp Settings.
• Small improvements to search your messages.
