In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 18.104.22.168 update, we announced that WhatsApp is working on a redesigned keyboard to offer a better user experience, planned to be released in a future update. In addition, the update seems to no longer be compatible with Android versions lower than 5.0. Unfortunately, the WhatsApp beta for Android 22.214.171.124 update also introduced an issue with the splash screen of the app, and it seems that the problem was widespread:
This is a screenshot from the previous update and you can see that the logo may unexpectedly appear larger than normal. A lot of users believe this was a new WhatsApp logo but it is simply a bug, and we do not know the reason why the logo appeared in a different way. We also reported this issue in the previous article on this website and fortunately, the WhatsApp beta for Android 126.96.36.199 update is now available on the Play Store: we can confirm this is a bug-fix update that addresses the mentioned issue, so the WhatsApp logo now appears correctly within the splash screen of the app.
The fix is rolling out after installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 188.8.131.52 update from the Google Play Store, so be sure to update to this build in order to use a version of WhatsApp without this bug.
