REDESIGNED SETTINGS

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.16 update, we shared information about a new feature under development: an enhanced settings page along with a new shortcut. Thanks to this feature, users will be able to experiment with an improved user experience while navigating through the app settings. The feature is still in development but, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.18 update available on the Google Play Store, we discovered new improvements:

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp keeps working on improving the new interface for the app settings that will be available in a future update of the app. In particular, if we compare the attached screenshot with the one posted in the previous article where we shared the details about the new interface for the first time, we can notice a few differences:

  1. The enhanced interface presents three new shortcuts: profile, privacy, and contacts.
  2. WhatsApp plans to introduce the starred message shortcut within the app settings. This is already available on WhatsApp for iOS.
  3. WhatsApp will reorganize the settings section to make the options easier to access.

It is worth noting that WhatsApp also plans to introduce a new shortcut within the chat list to open the app settings quickly, as spotted in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.16 update. When this shortcut will be enabled in the future, users will finally be able to experiment with the new interface of the app settings.

The new interface for WhatsApp Settings is under development and it will be released to users in a future update of the app. As always, we will post an additional article on this website when we have new details to share with you.
