After installing the new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.4.6 update (and the 2.22.4.7 beta as well), certain beta testers are reporting an issue where WhatsApp keeps stopping every time they try to open the application or when sending media:
This is limited to some beta testers, and the reason is unknown at the moment. If you have already updated to the 2.22.4.6 update (or the most recent 2.22.4.7 beta update) and WhatsApp keeps stopping, and you have previously backed up your chat history on Google Drive, you can uninstall the current update and download the previous version from APKMirror.com. If you don’t have a recent backup on Google Drive, you can consider following this guide to downgrade WhatsApp without losing data. In certain cases, it may not work since an incompatibility between those two versions, but you can give it a try. In any case, WhatsApp will release a new update (2.22.4.8?) bringing a fix for the crash.
