WHATSAPP NEWS OF THE WEEK
  • In the WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2215.1 update, we have discovered that WhatsApp is working on a section where to create group polls, for a future update.
  • In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.10.11 update, we have discovered the same section spotted during the development of the WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2215.1 update, that lets users create group polls. The feature is under development and it will be rolled out to users in a future update of the app.
  • WhatsApp is finally working on the ability to link an additional mobile device to your WhatsApp account in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.10.13 update, for a future version of the app. In our opinion, this is the best news of the week:

  • WhatsApp has introduced new chat filters after releasing the new WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2216.4.0 update (UWP version), available from the Microsoft Store.
  • After installing another update of WhatsApp Desktop beta, we have also discovered the user interface of group polls in the chat bubble, still under development.
  • WhatsApp is planning to let people view status updates right within the chats list in a future update. This is under development on WhatsApp Desktop beta but we do not exclude that WhatsApp is planning to bring the same feature on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS at a later date.
  • WhatsApp is developing a feature that lets users react to status updates by using 8 quick reactions, available in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta. WhatsApp will probably develop the same feature on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS in the future.
