WhatsApp to introduce a channel reply feature on iOS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.8.10.74 update, we announced a new feature that helps users track channel update views. This feature will offer channel admin important insights regarding how their updates reach the audience. With the number of views, channel admins can easily measure the effectiveness of their updates.
It appears that WhatsApp will enhance the channel experience by introducing new features for channel owners. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.8.10.76 update, which is available on the TestFlight app, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature that lets channel owners reply to their updates.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is developing a feature that will allow channel owners to reply to their updates. Currently, the ability to reply to channel updates is not available for channel owners. This makes it complicated to quote specific updates shared in the past. With this feature, channel owners will finally be able to reply to their channel updates. This will enhance both communication and engagement with followers.
Without the ability to reply to channel updates, it is complicated for channel owners to track and respond to specific updates. With this new feature, channel owners will easily be able to keep context within the channel. This feature will also make the channel easier to navigate. Users won't need to scroll through the channel history to find the relevant update, as replies are directly link to the update.
The feature that lets channel owners reply to their updates is under development, and it will be available in a future update of the app. As always, we will continue to share updates regarding this feature until it is officially released.
