CAMPAIGN MESSAGES
With the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.23 update, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a new business tool that will help small businesses connect with their customers more easily. While larger companies were able to use the WhatsApp Business API to reach their customers, smaller businesses might have encountered difficulties. For this reason, WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will also help small businesses through messaging campaigns.

As you can see in this screenshot, businesses will be able to create campaign messages to send personalized promotions, reminders, or even updates on holiday sales. This will be done in a more efficient way, eliminating the need for manual sending of the same message to multiple customers. When businesses want to use this feature, they will be able to create a template for a message that includes the name of the customer, and more. After creating and sending a campaign message, businesses will also be able to track their performance to check how it helps them grow their business.
From the code, it seems that this feature will be available by paying a certain fee that may vary from country to country, and businesses can easily manage the cost of each message they send so they can always stay on budget. In addition, since this is a business tool, campaign messages won’t be available in the customer app.
The ability to create campaign messages is under development and it will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Business beta. As always, we will keep you posted in case there are further details to share with you.
