In particular, thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.20.10 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on improving the interface of the app by introducing new icons and colors!
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp plans to introduce important improvements to the interface, for a future update of the app. Specifically, WhatsApp designed new icons aimed to make the interface more modern by enhancing the overall visual appeal of the app. In addition, WhatsApp is set to introduce a new green color as the predominant theme color for both light and dark modes, along with a revamped chat bubble color for the dark theme and the floating action button. It’s important to note that new icons will also be available within the app settings and the chat info screen, as announced in the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.74 update.
Similar enhancements were also spotted during the development of the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.19.1.72 update, where we announced a new interface for the iOS app with new icons, new colors, and the ability to filter group chats. This further confirms their commitment to providing users with a refreshed and improved experience for both iOS and Android apps. However, it’s clear that WhatsApp remains dedicated to developing the new interface, and we can finally confirm that the team is committed to continually improving it with further enhancements in the future. Make sure to keep an eye out for upcoming updates to learn more.
