MISSED CALL – RED COLOR

WhatsApp continues to work on introducing new features that can enhance the user experience within the application. Often, these are minor features that may initially seem useless. However, we believe combining all these minor features can definitely provide a better user experience.
After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.4 update available on the Google Play Store, some beta testers may notice something different in the calls tab. In particular, the name of the contact (or the phone number, in case the call is from an unknown contact) is now highlighted with a red color within the calls tab in case you missed their call:

As you can see in this screenshot, the new update clearly highlights the names of the missed calls with a red color, making it easier for users to quickly identify which calls they have missed. This minor feature has been available on WhatsApp for iOS for several years, and this change is also a way for the Android version to match up with the iOS version.

There are a few advantages to this new feature. In our opinion, it helps users quickly identify which calls they have missed, and it also makes it easier to keep track of missed calls from important contacts. In addition, the red highlighting makes it effortless for users to know which missed calls require their attention, making it easier for users to stay on top of their call log in order to ensure that important calls are not overlooked.

The new change regarding missed calls is available to some beta testers that install the latest version of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store, and it is rolling out to more users over the coming days.
