Yesterday, we have published the details about a new chat shortcut to quickly create orders for customers, in the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.9.11 update. Since this is a business feature, it will only be available to WhatsApp Business accounts. Today, we can finally discuss about the section where you will be able to create the order, available in a future update of the app:
As you can see in this screenshot, we are creating a new order for “WBI”: this is because we launched the procedure by tapping the chat shortcut “Order” within their chat. When we create an order, we are able to add new items (so the product of the order) from our WhatsApp Catalog. Note that when the user adds new items, they can also specify their quantity and the app will automatically calculate the subtotal.
After creating a new order, in this case, it will be automatically sent to the chat where we started the procedure from.
This is a business tool that will be available at a later date after the release of a new update.
