In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.10.6 update, we spotted a revamped caption view when sending media to chats and groups. Due to some unknown reasons, WhatsApp has disabled the new interface in the last few weeks, but it is finally back after installing the recent beta update:
As we explained in the previous article, the revamped caption view lets users select additional recipients when sending media, including status updates, so we do not need to forward the media after sending it. In addition, WhatsApp is also releasing a redesigned section where we can choose the audience for our current status update. Note that you still need to go to status privacy settings if you want to change the audience for all your future status updates.
The revamped caption view and the status audience selector are rolling out to beta users again, and more activations are still planned in the coming weeks.
