WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.214.171.124.
What’s new in this update? Discover all details below!
|Name of the feature?||Delete Chat (multi-device)|
|Availability?||This feature will be available in a future update.|
|I’ve the same version but I don’t see the redesign, why?||This redesign is under development, so it’s not ready for beta testers, but you can discover a preview here.|
|Previous news?||Instagram is testing favorite users|
If you use multi-device, you have surely noticed that, when you delete a chat from your device, it’s not deleted on WhatsApp Web/Desktop: this is because chats are only deleted from the device you’re using.
This behavior is temporary: WhatsApp is testing a new feature to sync chat deletion across devices!
As you can see in this screenshot, this feature will work if you’re using the most updated WhatsApp versions. So, when the feature will be rolled out for beta testers, and you’re using the latest update, deleted chats from a device will be automatically deleted from WhatsApp Web/Desktop as well (and vice versa).
Being under development, this feature is not available yet, but if you follow WABetaInfo on Twitter you will be always up to date when the feature will be rolled out, and you can discover all other changes implemented on WhatsApp beta for Android, iOS, Web/Desktop and more!
