Developers from WhatsApp aren’t the only ones to develop new features available in future updates and not immediately: it’s a common technique in order to have time to test them before the release. Instagram is doing the same and the developer alex193a has spotted very interesting news today: the possibility to like Instagram Stories!

You need to know that Instagram Stories are implemented like posts that are hidden in the feed and profiles, so it means that Instagram stories can get similar features available for posts and vice versa: in this case, the ability to like a story. The developer alex193a has also discovered that it will be possible to send multiple likes to Instagram Stories in a future update, so the owner of the Instagram Story won’t privately receive a message of the reaction. There will probably be a list where to check all likes of the story. Being a feature under development, everything might change before the release.
At the moment there is no other news, as to the release date or if it will be possible to see the likes list after 48 hours, but surely we will learn more soon.
