WhatsApp is working on a lot of new features for the next updates, but some important options are still missing. This article reveals a concept that implements a feature to hide the online status.
|Name of the concept?||Hide Online Status|
|Availability?||This is not an official WhatsApp feature.|
|I’ve installed this update but I don’t see this feature. Why?||Since this is a concept, this is not a feature that will be rolled out to beta testers, but concepts give the idea to developers for new features.|

WhatsApp has recently introduced several new features, like the ability to speed up voice notes and the My Contacts Except option to some beta testers, giving them more control over their privacy. But we know that something is still missing…
A lot of people complain about the lack of a feature that allows disabling the online status, so people can use WhatsApp without being disturbed. To give them visibility, I’ve decided to create this concept that implements the feature:
As you can see in this video, the user may choose to hide the online status after selecting “Nobody” in Privacy Settings > Last Seen. After turning on “Hide Online Status”, users can use WhatsApp in stealth mode, but they won’t be able to see when other people are online on WhatsApp.
Note again that this is a concept, unfortunately, so it’s not something that’s going to be implemented soon, but concepts are the best way to suggest features for new updates. The latest concept implemented Chat Bubbles on WhatsApp beta for Android, but news about the development of the feature is not available yet.
