More than 1 year ago, WhatsApp was developing a splash screen on WhatsApp for Android and iOS and, in the last few weeks, WhatsApp was working to redesign the splash screen for the web/desktop client too.
Some users were already able to see it, but today, thanks to the 2.2119.6 update, WhatsApp is finally extending the feature for more users!
The new splash screen brings the WhatsApp logo and brand, and the label End-to-end encrypted, indicating that it’s safe to use WhatsApp to chat and call. If you don’t see it yet, don’t worry: as we explained above, some users were already able to see the splash screen recently, and more users can see it today. You’ll get your turn soon as well.
