When you receive a spam message from untrusted contacts, you can choose to report the chat. When you report a contact, the most recent 5 messages are automatically forwarded to WhatsApp, so they can understand the context and they can choose to ban the account if needed.
WhatsApp is now developing a new option to report specific messages. When you report a message, it’s the only one to be forwarded to WhatsApp:
