While WhatsApp is working on improving native apps for Windows and macOS, the team also keeps working on new features for the web/desktop client. In particular, WhatsApp plans to improve the management of your chat list by introducing a new feature that lets users select multiple chats, for a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta:

As you can see in this screenshot, there is a new “Select Chats” action within the chat menu when this feature will be released. When you select certain conversations, you will be able to mute or mark all of them as read or unread. If you use WhatsApp Desktop, you probably noticed that it is really complicated to perform those actions for several conversations but WhatsApp plans to make it easier thanks to this feature in the future.

The ability to select multiple chats is a feature under development and it will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta. We’re not sure when it will be released but as always, we’re going to post an additional article on this website when further details about this feature are available.
