WhatsApp for iOS 2.18.20 changelog is available

Version: 2.18.20

Today WhatsApp has released a new update on the AppStore, bringing the version number up to 2.18.20.
The official changelog on AppStore reports Bug fixes only, but this update includes some small new features and improvements.

WhatsApp was studying some new methods to prevent spam, but they have deleted everything about this method in this release.
• When the user opens a group where he is no longer a participant (or if the group was closed), he can use the private reply feature: he can now quote every message sent/received here simply tapping on the message, then selecting the Reply option.
WhatsApp will automatically open the chat with the user and, if the user taps the quoted message, the group will be automatically opened, highlighting the quoted message.
This feature will be very useful when the group will be restricted to send messages.
• Big emojis in the quoted message box are now supported! Check this comparison:

• You can find a new Search option in the Group Info section, where you can search the participants of the group. Futhermore, all administrators are located at the top of the participants list in the Group Info section.

Personally we think this new layout of the Search Button does not look very good.
WhatsApp may consider to remove the Invite to Group via Link option, seen that there is the same Share option in the group, adding the new Search cell.

• The mentions notifications button is officially enabled in the 2.18.20 update for everyone!

More details about when this button appears are available in this post.

Any other possible detail will be published later on Twitter and our Telegram channel.
