If you use multi-device, you have surely noticed that you could not see your pinned chats and you couldn’t even pin new chats to the top. This is due to compatibility issues with multi-device, but things are going to change today.
Yes, because, after some months, WhatsApp is finally releasing a new update that makes pinned chats to be in sync between linked devices!
Thanks to the new update, you can also pin new chats to the top, and they are automatically pinned on your phone too, even if your device is not online at the same time.
If you are unable to pin chats and view pinned chats (so, every time you try to pin a chat, a message says that pinning chats is not available for multi-device), it means that your WhatsApp account is still not ready to support this feature. WhatsApp is gradually releasing this new option for specific beta testers. We can suggest to install the most recent WhatsApp Desktop beta and WhatsApp beta on your phone: this increases the chances to get the feature.
Note that WhatsApp will continue releasing this feature for more beta testers in the next few weeks.
