WhatsApp is launching a beta program for WhatsApp Desktop, allowing users to test new features: you can join the beta program simply installing the beta version, available for Windows and macOS.
When you install WhatsApp for Desktop beta the first time, you are officially a beta tester and you will receive all beta updates automatically, so you do not need to manually install the executable every time there is a new update. The most updated beta is 2.2133.1 now.
Being a beta tester for WhatsApp Desktop, you can start testing some new features. When you install this build, you can test a new experience while recording voice messages, thanks to waveforms and the possibility to listen to the voice message before sending it, already under development on WhatsApp for Android and iOS.
WhatsApp for Desktop periodically receives updates for the beta channel. If you experience some issues, you should report them by sending feedback: you can contact WhatsApp from WhatsApp Desktop Settings > Contact Us. Attach any screenshot that can help them to understand what’s happening and send the report.
