After announcing that WhatsApp keeps working on new features to improve its native Windows application by introducing the ability to listen to voice messages from different chats, we have once again confirmed what we thought. In particular, WhatsApp is really focusing on improving the native application, and in fact, after installing the latest update from the Microsoft Store, we discovered that another feature from the Electron version has been added: the ability to customize the chat wallpaper!
The best way to check if this feature is available for your WhatsApp account is to open the app settings and view the personalization options: in this section of the app, you should be able to change the wallpaper of all chats at once. In addition, it is also possible to include or exclude the WhatsApp doodle as an additional tool to personalize your wallpaper.
We believe this is a useful option as it allows you to give a personal touch to your conversations. However, it seems that this may be only the first version of this feature as it does not allow you to choose a custom background but only from a predefined set of colors, and it is not yet possible to choose a different wallpaper for specific chats. We believe that an improvement for this feature may be released in the future, and it will allow users to customize their chats even more.
