MEDIA MESSAGE BUG
Last week, we published an article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.11.0.70 update, where we shared information about the Updates tab, the new home for both status updates and channels. This feature is still in development but when the updates tab will be available, it means you can also view channels within this tab. However, a lot of people were also experiencing an issue with sending media messages after installing that update:

As you can see in this screenshot, we decided to share a tweet to inform everyone about this bug because we received a lot of reports from people that wondered why their messages were not delivered. After our investigation, we discovered that this issue was not limited to images but Android users were unable to receive videos, GIFs, documents, and voice notes, from the people that installed the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.11.0.70 update. For this reason, we recommended users downgrade to the previous known beta where this issue was not present.
After installing the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.11.0.73 update available on the TestFlight app, we tried to send an image to a group and we can confirm that people that use WhatsApp for Android finally received it. For this reason, we definitely recommend you update WhatsApp to this version as soon as possible in case you have experienced this issue and need to send media messages to Android users.
The fix to allow you to send messages to Android users is available after installing the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from the TestFlight app, so be sure to install this update to get the fix.
