In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.17.10 update, we published some information about a new feature under development: a special WhatsApp chat. Thanks to this feature, you will be able to receive localized in-app announcements about new features of WhatsApp right within the application. This feature is under development on WhatsApp beta for Android, but we have finally news about WhatsApp beta for iOS today:
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is working on introducing a special chat where you will be able to receive messages from the company, so you can always stay up to date about new features released to people. But it is not all: WhatsApp is also planning to send some tips and tricks about features and information about privacy and security to improve your experience with the app. As we explained in the changelog about WhatsApp beta for Android, this is a read-only chat and it is also end-to-end encrypted: it means that nobody can intercept messages. You will also be able to mute or block this chat if you don’t want to receive messages from WhatsApp and set it up as a disappearing chat, in the future.
This feature is under development so we do not know when it will be released to beta testers, but we will surely notify our followers when it is ready in case we receive the first message from this special WhatsApp chat.
