MANAGE FAVORITES
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.7.18 update, we announced a favorite feature for the calls tab. With favorites, WhatsApp allows users to prioritize and access important contacts and groups directly from the calls tab. As a result, a phone call now becomes just a tap away.
It appears that WhatsApp will introduce a feature that lets users find contacts and groups they matter the most in the Chats tab. Following the release of the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.9.19 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on a feature that lets users manage their favorites.

As you can see from the attached screenshot, WhatsApp is developing a feature that makes managing favorites easier. Specifically, users will be able to add, reorder, and remove their favorites right within the app settings. This means that WhatsApp will simplify how users can find and manage favorite contacts and groups within the calls tab. Since managing favorites may be complicated for some users, this enhancement will make the process easier.
With this new section, WhatsApp will offer users greater control over their preferred contacts and groups. WhatsApp will let users customize their communication experience according to their preferences. In addition, users will be able to manage their favorites in a dedicated interface. So they won't need to open the Calls tab to manage favorites.
The feature that lets users manage their favorites is under development, and it will be available in a future update of the app. We will publish another article once we have more details to share.
