I’ve installed the beta update, but I don’t see reaction notifications and I cannot send reactions. Why? Seen that this feature is under development, it’s not available to the public, but you can discover a preview in this article.

Probably you already know that WhatsApp is working on message reactions. They have also wrongly enabled — and immediately removed — the feature in the WhatsApp beta for Android update, so beta testers could temporarily test the feature, even if sending reactions didn’t work.
Some time ago, WhatsApp was also working on a way to manage reaction notifications on the iOS app. Today we can announce that WhatsApp is also working on the same settings on the Android beta build, for a future update:

As you can see in this screenshot, when the feature to react messages will be available in a future update, you can manage reaction notifications for individual chat threads and group chats as well.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a known release date but we will inform you when there is news about this feature.
