Previous news? WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2142.0: what’s new?

Today WhatsApp is releasing the beta update, bringing news for beta testers.
Let us introduce the feature. When you share a YouTube, Facebook or Instagram link with a friend on WhatsApp, you could use picture-in-picture to watch the video: today WhatsApp is redesigning the picture in picture feature, implementing a new control bar.

The control bar allows quickly pausing or resuming the video and more, like opening the video in full-screen mode or closing it.
In the first place, the control bar had to be available for videos shared from YouTube, but it seems that WhatsApp is now rolling out for any supported video.
About YouTube videos, you can also use two options in full-screen mode: “Watch Later” and “Share”.

We remind you that it’s possible to watch videos in picture-in-picture mode only for some services: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, ShareChat and Streamable.
Would you like more services to be supported in a future update?
