Yesterday WhatsApp has released the 2.21.12.14 beta update (that brings more hidden tracks about end-to-end encrypted backups), but there is an issue: several users were unable to log into WhatsApp!
WABetaInfo posted a workaround to log into WhatsApp again:
If you're unable to log into WhatsApp, using the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.12.14, please install the previous beta from https://t.co/3zK8IhdFiv.

WhatsApp has fortunately released the new beta update that brings the fix for this issue, so you can log into WhatsApp again today.
