In the previous article for WhatsApp beta for Android 22.214.171.124 we explained that WhatsApp was working on Expiring Media, a feature that allows to delete an image, video or GIF in the recipient’s phone, once he views the item.
We showed that, when the feature will be available for beta testers in a future build, there is a new button called View Once:
When the media is sent using this option, the recipient can view it just once:
When the user leaves the chat, there is now a bubble that says “View once photo expired”:
At the moment there isn’t a release date for the feature, because it’s under development. When there will be new details, I’m going to publish a new article.
