WhatsApp submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program: the version is 2.17.387.

ADVANCED GROUPS: ADMINISTRATOR FEATURES
As already mentioned in a precedent post, WhatsApp was working to improve the group management with advanced features.
The first feature already announced by us will allow to prevent the group creator to be deleted from the group by other administrators (and we will publish a screenshot when it will be possible), but today we have discovered that WhatsApp is working to implement new features, available only for administrators.
In fact, the administrators will be able to choose if other participants will be able to modify the subject of the group, its icon and its description, as shown below:
Note that these and all other upcoming group improvements are disabled by default.
This means you will be able to use this feature only when WhatsApp will enable it for all users.
