We already knew that Twitter was working on a feature that lets people edit their tweets: we found out from the official Twitter account some time ago. But today, there is some real evidence: the developer and leaker alex193a has discovered that Twitter is already working on implementing the ability to edit tweets on Twitter Web!

As you can see in this embed tweet, alex193a, the first person that discovered the feature under development on Twitter Web, has found real evidence about the option to edit tweets right within the tweet options: after tapping “Edit tweet”, the user is able to make the changes by pressing “Update”.
At the moment, it looks like there is no way to read an edit history, but it may be added in the future. Note that this feature is under development and will be released at a later date, as happens with WhatsApp news.
