Our recent news explained which are the features and limitations about multi-device, for example the first version of multi-device allows to link up to 4 devices, and only 1 mobile phone.
What will change about linking a mobile phone to WhatsApp Web/Desktop? Nothing, because the method is always the same: you need to log into WhatsApp Web/Desktop using the QR Code.
Mark Zuckerberg and Will Cathcart confirmed that multi-device will be available very soon for beta testers, launching the multi-device beta program.
When the multi-device beta program is out, you will find an announcement on my Twitter profile, so you can immediately join multi-device. After joining the multi-device beta program, and you open WhatsApp Desktop, you will use a new exclusive version: WhatsApp for Desktop beta.
WhatsApp for Desktop beta allows using WhatsApp without an Internet connection on your main phone. If you have already downloaded WhatsApp Desktop, WhatsApp will automatically convert your version to the beta build.
This version is under development and, when multi-device is out, it will totally change your experience while using WhatsApp.
