In the new Android update, WhatsApp is developing a new button, that will allow to users to quickly switch from voice to video call without stopping the voice call in progress.
Obviously the recipient will be able to reject the upcoming video call, if he wants.
In the same way, WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow to direcly mute a video (so not only the audio).
These features will be added in iOS and Windows Phone versions later.
Note that these two features are disabled by default and they will be enabled for all WhatsApp users in next updates.
