WhatsApp is developing a lot of new very interesting features, but the dev team is also improving what has been already implemented in the past: in this case, playback speeds for voice notes.
|Name of the feature?||Playback Speeds|
|Availability?||This feature will be available in a future update on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.|
|I’ve the same version but I don’t see this feature, why?||Since this feature is under development, it’s not available for beta testers, but you can discover a preview here.|

The feature to play voice notes using different playback speeds was a huge success. After releasing the feature on WhatsApp beta for Android 126.96.36.199 and WhatsApp Messenger beta for iOS 188.8.131.52 updates, WhatsApp is now working on a new version of the feature, making it compatible with audio messages.
What’s an audio message? It’s simply a forwarded voice note. When you forward a voice note, it’s not possible to speed up the audio because the playback speed button is not available, but a new feature is coming for it at a later date:
As you can see in this video, WhatsApp is working on introducing a playback speed button for forwarded voice notes. The feature has been spotted in a recent beta version of WhatsApp beta for iOS, but it’s currently under development, and it’s surely coming on the next versions of WhatsApp beta for Android as well. When there are more details, we will post news here: stay tuned!
