I’ve announced a new feature coming for WhatsApp that allows to listen to voice messages using different playback speeds:
Yesterday @WABetaInfo has announced that @WhatsApp was working on 3 different playback speeds for voice messages, on WhatsApp for Android.
Today the same screenshots are taken from WhatsApp for iOS.
The feature is under development.

Today, WhatsApp is finally rolling out the feature for all iOS beta testers that installed the update from TestFlight.
If you want to verify if the feature is already enabled for you, just play a voice message and if you will see a different UI, that includes a playback speed symbol, the feature is available for you.
As we said in the announcement for Android, WhatsApp has updated the UI before the official release of the feature, so it’s different than the one posted in the tweet.
The feature is available today. Stay tuned for next announcements about WhatsApp for iOS and Android!
This update also brings the latest security fix about the Two-Step Verification.
