WHATSAPP NEWS OF THE WEEK
- WhatsApp is announcing new tools for voice notes, available in a new update of the app for everyone very soon. This also includes the new voice note player, available to more Android beta testers this week.
- WhatsApp is lauching a new interface for the camera and a redesigned media picker on WhatsApp beta for Android.
- WhatsApp has rolled out privacy settings to some Android beta testers. The feature has been already rolled out in a previous update, but WhatsApp is now enabling it to more people this week. This is good news!
- The company has also released the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.8 update, introducing new emojis from the latest Unicode. This is surely the best news of the week for Android:
- WhatsApp has released the 2.2212.0 beta update for Windows (UWP version), bringing the ability to open view once photos and videos.
- The company has released the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.10 update: this is a bug fixes update but it also lets people in India view a new yearly reminder for their Terms of Service. In addition, the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.11 update has introduced new options when selecting phone numbers in chat bubbles.
- WhatsApp is enabling new forwarding limits on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS so you cannot forward forwarded messages to more than one group at a time.
- We announced that WhatsApp is working on a new communities tab and all your communities all your communities or the ones you get added to will show up in this section. This feature will be available in a future update of the app.
