With the release of the 2.21.220 update on the App Store, WhatsApp is finally introducing a fix for a very annoying bug on iPhone X. In particular, the drawing editor was completely broken due to the notch bar: it was impossible to place emojis, stickers, text on media.
Reasons are actually unknown but this issue persisted for several versions on iPhone X. Finally, a bug fix for this issue has been officially released. Note that the update also brings general improvements for stability on other iPhone models, but new updates are coming soon to fix other bugs. Before updating, it is always good practice to back up your chat history on iCloud so, if something wrong happens after installing the new update, your chat history is safe.
