With the 2.20.90 and 2.20.100 update, WhatsApp worked to implement some fixes for iOS 14.
Today a new beta is available, bringing the full support for iOS 14, fixing new bugs and compiling the app using the iOS 14 SDK.
Some changes are visible for the Search Bar, now bigger:
WhatsApp for iOS 2.20.110 has the Limited Library support, provided from the iOS 14 SDK:
WhatsApp is now releasing a Mute option when muting chats.
The feature was previously spotted on a recent WhatsApp beta for Android build, but now it’s live on iOS too. Business chats have a single Call Button now: when tapped, you can choose the call type.

The feature is available today for beta testers, having the 2.20.110 update from TestFlight.
The feature “Expiring Media” was discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.20.201.1 some days ago, allowing to delete an image, video or GIF in the recipient’s phone, after viewing it for the first time. This feature is under development but we have details about how the feature has been developed.
When the feature will be available in a future update, a new button is added here:
When sending an expiring media, it will disappear in the recipient’s phone after viewing it.
There is not a date for the release of the feature, because it’s under development and it’s an experimental feature. We have to wait for a future update.
