POLLS

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.21.0.70 update, we posted news about a new feature released to some lucky beta testers: the ability to create polls to share with other group participants. A few hours ago, we just published a story about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.12 update that brings polls to one-to-one chats. Finally, the same feature has also been released to some really lucky users that install the latest update of WhatsApp beta for iOS from TestFlight!

As you can see in this picture, we have taken a screenshot in an individual chat (just see the last seen to verify that this is a private chat) and polls are also available here. If you want to discover if it is available for your WhatsApp account, just open the chat share options: in case the feature is available, you can start sharing polls within one-to-one chats. As we said in our story about the Android update, polls in individual chats may not make sense at first, but they may just be a fun way to ask something when you already have different options.
As happens with group polls, a poll shared within a one-to-one chat can be created by adding up to 12 options and it is always end-to-end encrypted: nobody can see its content, not even WhatsApp or Meta.

The ability to create a poll in a one-to-one chat is available to some lucky beta testers, but the same feature may also be available to certain users on different versions of the app (even stable releases from the App Store). In case you don’t have this feature, please wait for a future update since there will be a wider rollout over the coming weeks.
