CHANNEL UPDATE REPLY
After the announcement shared by Mark Zuckerberg regarding a global launch for WhatsApp channels and several enhancements to improve the user experience while using channels, WhatsApp is now working on new features to release in a future update of the app. With the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.19.4 update, WhatsApp widely released a feature to react to channel updates, providing users with a new tool to interact with the content and updates they receive from channels. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.20.6 update, we discovered a new feature to reply to channel updates, and it will be available in a future update of the app!

As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is really working on a new feature to allow followers to reply to channel updates in the future. Specifically, we discovered that there will be a reply indicator next to the reaction bubble, indicating how many replies a particular channel update has received. It’s worth noting that this feature will also include added privacy to your replies so your phone number is still protected even when you reply to a channel update.
This feature will finally add important discussion features to channels, providing users with an additional tool to interact with other followers and the content they are engaging with. In our opinion, this added interactivity will make WhatsApp channels even more enjoyable and useful for users, helping them stay informed and engaged with topics they care about. With these enhancements, followers will actively be able to participate in channel conversations by sharing their thoughts and opinions, making it a new place where they can talk about the channel content.
The channel update reply feature is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. As always, we will publish a new article when we have further information regarding this feature to share with you.
