Exactly 3 weeks ago, WhatsApp has released the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.7 update, bringing the ability to pause and resume voice recordings.
For some unknown reasons, the feature has been disabled for everyone in the previous WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.3 update, which also brings message reactions to certain Android beta testers. We can now confirm that the feature to pause and resume voice recordings is back after installing the new WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.8.4 update, for some beta testers.
In addition, WhatsApp is also disabling another feature: we’re talking about the preview when sharing images and videos as documents. This feature has been introduced in the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.5.11 update, but WhatsApp is mysteriously disabling it with the latest update. Why? After introducing this feature, the document preview was broken, so it may be the reason why WhatsApp is temporarily removing the feature.
