In the past few days, OnePlus has announced two new bug fix updates for OnePlus 7, 7T, 7T Pro, 8, 8 Pro, 8T, in order to address some issues while using WhatsApp for Android. What these updates are about?

OnePlus is rolling out a new update for OxygenOS, bringing the version up to 11.0.5.1 for OnePlus 7, 7T, 7T Pro. The changelog reports general improvements for the system, but it also brings a very important fix for an issue where WhatsApp was unable to send and receive media files.
In addition, OnePlus is also releasing an OTA update for OnePlus 8T: the OxygenOS 11.0.12.12 (NA & EU) and 11.0.11.11 (IN). In particular, this update also brings a fix for a rare crash that happens while using WhatsApp. A similar update (OxygenOS 11.0.10.10) has been released for OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, bringing the same fix.
These updates are slowly released via OTA to some people that use those devices, so they are available to a very limited number of users right now, but OnePlus is planning to speed up the rollout in the next few days if everything goes well.
