WHATSAPP NEWS OF THE WEEK

  1. Mark Zuckerberg announced an upgrade for message reactions so everyone is finally able to react to messages with any emoji and skin tone on iOS, Android, and Desktop.
  2. Mark Zuckerberg also posted some information about new hands-free features for Ray-Ban Stories. In particular, users can now hear message readouts, send end-to-end encrypted messages via WhatsApp, and make calls securely by using the end-to-end encryption protocol!

  2. The company pushed the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.7 update to beta testers that brings a fix when sending a sticker from a third-party keyboard.
  3. WhatsApp plans to update the business terms of the app in the future, but nothing really changes: the update is needed in order to comply with several regulations around the world and the new business terms will only apply to businesses.
  4. WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to apply the default message timer to multiple chats at once. The feature has been released to some users after installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.8 update.
  5. WhatsApp is working on bringing the ability to post voice notes to status updates, in a future version of the app.
