WhatsApp is working on an official WhatsApp chat on Desktop beta
After announcing that WhatsApp is working on editing messages on WhatsApp Desktop beta, we discovered that the company is also developing an official WhatsApp chat on the same platform where they will announce new features in the future.

WHATSAPP CHAT
After releasing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.17.10 update, we discovered that WhatsApp is working on an official WhatsApp chat in the future. The same chat has also been discovered during the development of the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.20.0.71 update. The web/desktop client was the only platform where this conversation was not available but we finally discovered that the same chat is now under development on WhatsApp Desktop beta:
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp plans to launch a new verified chat where you can get tips, see announcements, and hear about the newest features. The official WhatsApp conversation is a read-only end-to-end encrypted chat so nobody can intercept messages. If you do not like receiving messages from WhatsApp, you will be able to mute or block this chat.
This conversation is under development so we do not know when it will be released to beta testers. As always, when the official WhatsApp chat shows up, we will inform you by publishing a new article.
