A very interesting feature is now under development on WhatsApp beta for Android. You know that you can stay up to date about WhatsApp news by following their official profile on Twitter but WhatsApp is now working on a new feature that lets you receive localized in-app announcements for new features from WhatsApp right within the application:
As you can see in this screenshot, the company plans to announce new features within an official WhatsApp chat. Thanks to these announcements, you can stay up to date about recent news released to users. In addition, you can even receive tips and tricks to improve your experience within WhatsApp and the company also plans to send you information to learn more about privacy and security.
This chat is read-only and it is end-to-end encrypted so messages cannot be intercepted by third parties. If you don’t want to receive messages from WhatsApp, you will be able to block this chat in the future.
Unfortunately, this feature is under development and we do not know the details about when it will be released to users. We know that this chat automatically shows up when you will receive the first message from WhatsApp, so we just have to wait for a new message.
