SIDEBAR

Last year, we shared an article regarding a new sidebar in development on WhatsApp Web. This interface was designed to enhance navigation, providing users with a clear and organized way to move through the various sections of WhatsApp Web. It appears that WhatsApp is still committed to improving the interface of the web client to make it more modern and user-friendly, as evidenced by ongoing updates and enhancements we previously announced. Thanks to the recent updates of the web client, the redesigned sidebar interface is finally available to some users, offering an enhanced experience for accessing essential sections!

As you can see in this screenshot, some beta testers may experiment with a redesigned sidebar interface to easily navigate through different sections of WhatsApp Web, including Chats, Status, Channels, Communities, Archive, and Starred Messages. This enhanced navigation experience offers users improved efficiency and ease of use while interacting with these features. It’s important to note that this interface is currently available to a limited number of users who previously joined the official beta program of the web client, which provides users with access to some exclusive and experimental beta features.

Beta testers who already have access to the new sidebar feature can now enjoy a more improved browsing experience on WhatsApp Web. The sidebar provides quick access to essential sections, allowing users to easily switch between conversations, check status updates, and access archived messages with just a click. We believe that this approach to redesign the interface will greatly enhance the user experience on WhatsApp Web, making it more modern, intuitive, and efficient to use. As WhatsApp continues to gather feedback and refine the interface, we can confirm that users can expect further enhancements to optimize their experience in the upcoming updates.

The redesigned sidebar interface is available to some beta testers who joined the official beta program of WhatsApp Web and use the latest version, and it’s rolling out to more people over the coming weeks.
