WhatsApp is releasing a blur tool for images on Desktop beta
After releasing a new feature that lets some users manage their media auto-download settings on the desktop client, WhatsApp is now rolling out a blur tool for images to some beta testers on WhatsApp Desktop beta!

BLUR TOOL
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.9.7 update, we announced that WhatsApp was releasing new tools for the drawing editor including a blur tool. Thanks to the blur tool, you can quickly censure sensitive information from your images in a neat way. In June, we also announced that a version of the blur was under development on WhatsApp Desktop beta and it is finally rolling out to some beta testers!
As you can see in this screenshot, you can use a blur tool on your images. During the development of the feature, WhatsApp has developed two blur tools so you can also edit your images by using an alternate blur effect. In addition, you can choose the blur size so you can apply the effect with granular precision.
If you want to discover if the feature is already enabled for your account, just try to send an image: if the blur button shows up, you can start using the new drawing tool. Since the blur tool has been released to some beta testers, in case you still do not have it, you need to wait for a future update because it will be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.
