GROUP POLLS
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.8.0.72 update, we have announced that WhatsApp is finally working on creating group polls in a future update of the app. We have also published a screenshot of the first look at the interface of WhatsApp group polls, under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS.
The feature is still under development on WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS, but we can finally show the first screenshot from the Desktop app today:
As you can see in this screenshot, a poll has a question and different options. In order to create a poll, you need to fill in at least 2 options, and you can add up to 12 options. Note that group polls are end-to-end encrypted so nobody, not even WhatsApp, can read their content.
This feature is under development and a release date for beta testers is unknown, unfortunately. Be sure to check our next changelogs to discover new progress for the feature and when it is rolled out to beta users.
