AI SUPPORT

Last year, we announced a new feature that would have enabled users to get answers from WhatsApp Support in a WhatsApp chat. Thanks to this enhancement, users could have received prompt assistance and answers to their queries directly within their ongoing WhatsApp conversations, eliminating the need to provide an email address for contact. However, their support is not without imperfections, and one notable area of limitation is the use of default answers. In fact, when you reach out to WhatsApp support with a question, you might have noticed that you often receive automated, generic responses that may not fully resolve your inquiries and issues. Thanks to the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.23.8 update, which is available on the Google Play Store, we discovered that WhatsApp has plans to enhance the quality of its service by implementing AI-generated messages to better support users in the future:

As you can see in the attached screenshot, WhatsApp may assist users by sending messages generated by AI using a secure service from Meta. Although this feature is in development, it already promises to improve support by offering more relevant and helpful responses to support queries in the future. In fact, it is expected to improve user interactions, minimize response times, and ensure a more efficient support experience by benefiting both WhatsApp users and customer service.

In our opinion, AI-generated messages may be a helpful addition to WhatsApp’s customer support, as it will potentially provide more personalized and effective solutions for user inquiries. We think this would also provide users with instant responses to their questions, even outside of their regular business hours. These advantages will definitely contribute to improved customer experiences without relying on generic and often frustrating default answers.

The feature to respond to support queries with messages generated by AI is under development and it will be available in a future update of the app. We have plans to share a new article when we have further details about this feature to share with you.
